Took the A1 down to the local "cop shop"
Grabbed almost all the safariland holsters they had off the wall and tried to see if any of them would even come close to fitting :(

Zip/Zero/Zilch/nada/squat............ :x

stinks

A1

Did the same thing at shop that had an extensive selection of holsters, went through them all. The only thing I found that appeared to come very close to fitting was a Bianchi Model 105 Minimalist holster in size 13/15, pretty much a high ride belt slide type holster but with an elastic retaining strap. When I got it home, cut open the last few stitches on the bottom end by sliding a knife blade in there, then got out my small awl and punched a few new holes a little farther out from the original stitches and sewed in some strong polyester thread. Whole process took less than 5 minutes. Fits nicely and the elastic retaining loop fits/works well, pistol rides nice and snug, appears very secure, draws and reholsters well.

Off the Shelf Holster that seems to fit the A1

Just tried one of the large sporting goods stores about an hour away in Kittery, Maine that maintains a nice selection of holsters, went through them and hit it big, found a Bianchi Model 5 Black Widow, that according to the label fits 45/10MM Automatics and the Glock 20/21. First couple of times I inserted my M9A1 seemed a little too tight, but then must have forced its way past whatever portion of the molding was a problem and seems to fit quite well. Bianchi part number is 16864; price was $44.95.

Those are for the M. M series isn't a problem. I have a safariland 6280. I have a Comp Tac Paddle.

The A1 is a problem. No one has anything for it.

FYI,

FIST Holsters 1-800-443-3478 has taken my order for their K-1 model package and is adapting it for an M-A1 mounted laser aiming device. It should be here in a couple of weeks and I will let you know the outcome. They have been very accommodating in every way.

Good Evening;

Just bought a mixson holster with built in clip holder. Leather for us is not an option. So far great job holding in and fast response for clip. Here is the site: :D

We are using the model CHM, only 29.95. Going for a second one, got dumped on last night by mother nature.

Enjoy

The Sarge :lol:

Was this for an M or MA1 ?

Sarge here;

We have the M9's no need for the rail, putting something there give an advantage to the bad guy. The holster is large enough. Protects the mouth and does have enough room for the A-1 I do believe. Since they are abouth the same size. The way we bend, break, and use out who knows, maybe the A1 will be ours in the future. Hell we love the weapon, a lot lighter than the Kimber. Personally, I prefer the Steyr over the Glock or S&W, fits my big paw a lot better.

P.S. Why not order it, you know the saying "if it don't fit you must acquit" :?:

If you're looking for a outside high ride nylon, Uncle Mike's makes a decent holster. Ambidextrous, good retaining clip, adjustable. Got mine at a local gun shop for 22 bucks. Draws well with no snags. But I don't carry mine professionally.
