Yup, turned in my 2 weeks notice

April 6th I start a new job in a different department.

Less stress and micro management than where I am now.
Much larger jurisdiction

Still will be allowed to carry my M40A1.

My son works there and will have seniority over me

Good luck with the new gig. Nothing like a fresh start to get you excited about something again.

Thanks guys.
While I'll take a pay cut in the beginning, there are a lot of better options at this department. I'll even get to retire a bit earlier.

your service, and you and your fellow brothers in blue
be safe out there, and know some of us are prayin for
you guys ( there should be the little praying emoticon here,
but I couldn't find it :? )

Hey, I always say when ever you get an opportunity to cut some stress out of your life take it.

Life is too short to have somebody breathing down the back of your neck and to me nothing is worse than a micromanager.

Thanks guys,
Today was the first official day at work.
Paperwork paperwork and more paperwork.

The first 2 weeks are in the classroom and then it's hit the streets..

BTW, the firearms guys said he would add Steyr to the approved list.

Sweet. You don't still have to find a basketweave duty holster, now, do you?

Official Class A stuff is high gloss (I have a modified M holster)

On the streets it's anything. I'll get a plain black M holster and modify it.
