Ladies and Gentlemen,

as of yesterday I am the proud owner of a M9 - A1 (i think).
Bought the gun used, but according to the owner it has only been fired 100 times.
The condition of the gun supports said claim, as the finish is immaculate and there is 0 wear on all 3 mags.

Took it to the range today and was quite underwhelmed by trigger reset issues...
A quick google search brought me here.
Let's hope there is a quick and easy cure for the issue, as I love the gun already.
Hope to get it to run 100% reliable and use it in IDPA SSP.

Welcome to the SteyrClub!

Read the Big Taco tutorial (in Downloads) on trigger reset, it will have you running in no time. ThaiBoxer regularly competes in IDPA and USPSA with his Steyr and has won a couple of matches out in Oregon.

Thanks.
I have looked at just about all the downloads already.
Not sure which one was dedicated to reset... Must have missed that one.
I stripped Ms. Steyr frame down to every pin, cleaned it, reassembled it and mounted it to the slide by itself (no grip).
The way mine malfunctions, is that when I leave my finger on the trigger while the gun cycles it doesn't reset right. A subsequent trigger pull will yield no result.
In the fully assembled gun, I can make her shoot in two ways. Either pull the trigger forward farther, or slap the grip as if I was inserting a magazine.
Then she will go *click* as expected.
With the grip removed, I can see that the "catch" doesn't come all the way forward. If I push it 1/32" or so, the trigger pull will result in a *click*.
Will tinker with it some more tonight.

Der Schaf-Fuehrer.
If you want to use the "Fuehrer".
Alternative would be "Der Schafshirte" - Sheep herder.

On second thought, "Fuehrer der Schafe" sounds best :D

I know its Schaf, but if you knew what I did for a living, you'd also know why it was done the way I did it.

Thanks for the grammar lesson I already knew. ...

Good luck with your pistol.

I'm in waterford all the time, to bad.

Just thought I'd offer some friendly advise...

//edit: Re-read my post and still don't see which part could be interpreted as an insult, but oh well.
