Yes, I am from IL, born and raised, (I know :barf: for 2nd amend rights) in any case after yesterdays primary we now have a chance to get a better US senator, we now have d.durbin and r.burris, anything is better. Burris did not even run for the seat, he was hated so much, Blago appointed him to it last year. Our REP prim candidate is Mark Kirk, not great on 2nd amend but better. In addition, we will either have bill brady or kirk dillard as our REP candidate for GOV, both are strong 2nd amend supporters. IL is 1 of 2 states not to allow concealed carry, WI is the other. A couple of the IL primary races are down to the wire, don't ever think your vote does not count, it does, even in/near chicago, where it may count 5 or 6 times.
Hopefully we can get someone in office to lower taxes, reduce spending, attract jobs and balance our budget too. The IN GOV did it, no reason why we can't.

Go for it. Just don't pick the "Lesser of Two Evils." That's how we got to where we are now.

If you need to, make sure you vote for a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment, even if they can't necessarily win. If you care, vote your conscience. Don't even let them count your vote as lukewarm for the 2nd.
