I just got C9-A1 and am looking for an IWB holster. I happened to come across this holster on ebay and was wondering what you all thought. It's basically a crossbreed knockoff, but the price is right for me and they have 100% feedback, so most people seem to be happy.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure if it would fit. It looks okay though.

Its not going to cover the whole muzzle.

The only complaint I have on it is that it looks like the retention is done with the ejection port, which is a no no from the things I've read.

Yeah, I was sort of wondering about that. I figure if it's hitting the ejection port, I might just be able to relax it a bit with a heat gun. What did you use on yours to keep the ejection port clear? (Looks great, by the way!)

I don't mind the muzzle not being completely covered...at least I don't think I would mind, I've actually never carried before...

I ruined one of mine trying to make it relax there. Accidentally burned the kydex.

I cut up a business card and filled the hole.
Its still a little bit visible, but not much.

It rubs a bit on the corner of the slide, but I set my retention point to be polymer instead of metal for wear purposes to try and keep my finish nice.

I really want to experiment with felting the kydex and all sorts of other weird things.

That guy makes GREAT holsters! If he doesnt have it listed then message him. I just ordered 2, one for my S9-A1 which wasnt listed but he has them. Shipping was crazy fast and the quality is there, especially for $35! I highly recommend his holsters! I have a kingtuk to compare it to and the difference between the two is nothing... His kydex is slimmer which is better cause the kingtuk kydex is way too thick. The leather quality seems to be the same except the kingtuk has a smooth backside finish, where his holster is regular leather. The retention is great! Worth every penny!

question as a righty who shoots southpaw, i've never run into this ejection port issue. i apologize if i am derailing this thread and not my intent, but i have no idea what the issues would be? would it catch the gun as being drawn? something like that? would you be so kind to elaborate for me. thank you in advance, Sir.

I'm wearing that exact holster. I bought it 4 weeks ago for my M40-A1. NO retention problems at all. My Styer fits very snug and is more comfortable than the $90 holster I had for glock (that i traded in on my M40-A1).

Haven't been here in awhile (WHASSUP FELLAS?!) but I've got a couple from www.customcarryconcepts.com that I love. One for the m9 and one for my Bersa. I think he's been inundated with orders so he's sorta backed up, but Rich makes great stuff. Never seen a leather backed holster for the M9's until now and I'm a huge fan of the king tuk and old faithful holsters for my 1911's (I know, sacrilege here). I'm intrigued...

Since a couple people posted on this the last couple days, I thought I would report back as well. I also ended up buying the holster linked above and have been very happy with it. Retention is great, I haven't seen any wear on my gun from it, comfortable and really can't say enough about it, especially for the money. Granted, this is my first and only holster, so take all that with a grain of salt, but if I ever convince my wife to let me get a Caracal, I'll be ordering another from these guys.

2 small issues: the steel belt clips that came with the holster squeaked on my belt. Constantly. The holster itself didn't make a sound, but for some reason, no matter which belt I wore, every step was a squeak. Honestly, you'd never know I was packing because of my imprint, but you would constantly wonder why I was squeaking. Found someone else on ebay that makes kydex belt clips, threw them on (after drilling them out by a couple thousandths so they would fit the existing nuts/screws) and have been silent for a couple months now. Second, and really small, complaint: if they had made the kydex an 1/2-1 inch longer, it would have covered the barrel on my C9 completely, keeping the last little bit of finish protected. That's not what they designed it to do, but it would be on my wish list if I had a choice.

Anyway, typical long response from me, but I wholeheartedly recommend them, with the only caveat being: if it squeaks on your belt, buy some kydex clips.
