Welcome to the SteyrClub!

Beautiful gun, they do wonderful gunstocks at Mannlicher! Your best bet is to look at Gun Broker www.gunbroker.com, for an auction type price. You could also call the people at SteyrArms, they will know the MSRP. The 30-06 makes it a U.S. model, since few of the other countries use that caliber.

Hiya Austin* :)

I'm sorry for your loss and happy for your gain.

This the critter?

Whata beauty!

I did a quick search and found an auction ending Sept, 2011 and the winning bid was $839. (IMHO, that was a steal!)

Here's that url: http://www.gunauction.com/buy/10506...-full-stock-carbine.30-06.double-set-triggers

Hope this helps.

Oh, and welcome ta the Club, Bro.

Wulf <-- really loves the full stock look

I Inherited this rifle and I need to find an approximate value for insurance purposes....

Yeah, I agree that 840 was a steal. I have assumed that around 1400 was an acceptable value for its condition. Thanks for your help and condolences. Glad my grandfather was a collector with awesome tastes.

That is an awsome rifle Austinnokc, I would love to have it. I would put value anywhere from $1200 to $1500, for some reason rifles in 30.06 caliber seems to bring low interest from most buyers these days. I love the 30.06 so I don't understand why that is.

Actual value is much higer of course, just try to find that quality of rifle anywhere else and see what it costs.
