Is there a better guide Rod and Spring than the stock one
Some of us have put in Ranger Point Precision steel guide rods. They use the stock spring. Check out this thread:
L9a1 guide rod, Ranger Point
Big Taco also sell an aftermarket guide rod. I believe he sells springs. He also sells a guide rod that will accept Glock springs, if I remember correctly.
Personally, I would go with the glock spring setup because then you can choose the pound of spring you want to use. The oem steyr springs are too heavy for typical american loads resulting in erratic ejection (read; brass to the face).
Is it a conversion kit or can you use clock parts if it's a conversion kit do you know or you can get it
in your search engine of choice, type in "bt steyr guide rod". at the bottom of said product page description there is an option to contact them regarding the glock setup.

Hey Gang, I just picked up my L9-A1 yesterday! I'm late to the game but I got here as quickly as I could. I'll be ordering my guide rod some time this week. Thanks for the guidance.
They sell a brass weight/guide rod combo now:
