Ranks right up there with this historic want ad in a Paris newspaper immediately following VE Day:

For sale: Like-new military rifle. Never fired. Dropped once.

Does anybody speaka the Francaise? I'd love to have a translation of what these French or French Canadians are saying, particularly after the anti-climax, or should I say "launchus interruptus"?

These are French Canadian from (I'm pretty certain) the 1st Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment.

The weapon is French thought. By the look of it, it is the crappy ERYX from MBDA.

The 22nd (a.k.a Van Dous) has serve Canada with great Honor. From the trench of Vimy Ridge (WWI). The Battle of Dieppe (WWII) ; the Canadian equivalent of "Charge of the Light Brigade". To hills of the Korean War and so on, and so on....
