is anyone else here getting shafted like i have been? I've had $500+ trapped in my gpal account since JUNE. at first i was told it was a computer glitch, then a routing error with their partner bank. i was promised a check for my account balance to be sent to me overnight w/ signature required... and it never happened.

and now... they wont return e-mails, their phone system hangs up on me after 30 seconds, and i'm now blocked from commenting on their facebook page.

all the while i still don't have access to my money.

so i started looking around, i've noticed that AuctionArms dropped their endorsement of Gpal. but what really struck me was to find out that isnt an isolated event:

i've filed a complaint with the better business bureau, and the internet crime complaint center.

some people have said their small business has been bankrupted, others have been forced to lay off workers...

in my opinion Gpal has done more to set-back the firearms community than Feinstein and pelosi both.
anyone here having the same issue ?

    Dang Head...that sucks majorly!

It's the first I've heard of it but I haven't actually used Gpal yet for anything. This will definitely bear watching. I'm sorry you're having difficulty getting your money and I feel really bad for the folks who are out so much more. :(

a quick update.... i've received $70 so far.... still waiting for over $400 to come in. they claim its a banking error, but i was contacted by the sonoma county (CA) District attorneys office and asked to fill out some paperwork for their investigation.

is anyone still using Gpal ? i hope not.....

it was "GUNpal"....(they later changed their name to Gpal ) a financial service very similar to paypal, which didnt discriminate based on the nature of the transaction who @ the same time donated a portion of thier profit to charity. meaning they would NOT close your account and freeze your funds for legally purchasing guns, and weapons related item off of gunbroker like paypal WILL do if they find out that you are doing so. a great service in theory...but a complete and utter failure in practice... as its been nearly 8 months and i'm still out over $400.
