I ended up sending a copy of my license to another distributor in order to aquire some items for a customer.
I received the wholesale flier today and low and behold, MA1's are listed.

They are higher priced than other distributors. But it is another source.

I know if one has to ask, one probably can't afford but does this price them over $500 retail?

Hi there, I didn't know you were local. PDHSC definitely has the best prices on most things around here. If madecov has a good deal I might save on the tax and use my FedEx account to save on shipping.

Do you shoot any IDPA or IPSC matches in the Raleigh/Fayetteville area? I am the only Steyr shooter I know of at the ranges/matches I frequent.

PDHSC acted as ffl on my M9 order from CDNN and I've sold a couple items through them as well. Guess I should check with them about ordering an M40A1 next.

Is there much in the way of IDPA other than at PDHSC around Raleigh?
Oh yeah - you are actually just south of the best IDPA match on the East Coast, some even say it now rivals the IDPA Nationals in AR! I'm talking about the Carolina Cup, which this year will be in early June.

Here is the link: http://www.the-range.com

This range in Oxford, NC also holds an IDPA match on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of every month, plus a 3-gun match on the 3rd Sunday. Depending on where you're driving from you either go up Hwy 50 about 8 miles past Creedmoor, or go up 85 North about 20 minutes past Durham.

Good to hear you're local too, Lance. I hope you guys can make the Oxford IDPA matches, the weekend matches are often comparable to other ranges' State IDPA Championships 8-O

And then there is the local IPSC scene, which is a whole other story. http://www.sirwaltergunclub.com has a fantastic match on the 1st Saturday of every month that you will see Chris Tilley and Todd Jarrett attend (Grand Masters frequently seen on TV). Fort Bragg hosts the Range 14 IPSC match that is put on by Special Forces guys in their spare time (2nd Saturday of the month), plus their prizes are CASH. Seriously, last month I won $80 for 2nd place Production.

IPSC Production class is so competitive around here that I have to shoot a Glock 34 instead of my Steyrs because the extra accuracy that 5.3" barrel, longer sight radius and lightened trigger provide are needed for the 35-yard head shots frequently encountered. How many times do I have to ask Steyr for a competition version of their fantastic design?!!!

email me for more info: [email protected], the Sir Walter IPSC and Oxford IDPA matches are this Sat and Sun, respectively.

Madecov - sorry for the hijack thread, at least it keeps this thread at the top :D

Jeff
Very enlightening Jeff.
Will have to dodge a few deer to make the trip but I'll check it out!
