I may actually have to go see the thing.

I just have a hard time wrapping my brain around an engraved polymer pistol. I could see a really nice Colt or Smith & Wesson. Maybe a Sig, Beretta but polymer guns are just too much of a working tool for that.

i agree madecov. that thing is supposed to be holstered around the clock until you take it out to throw a few hundred rounds down range and put it away dirty.

beautiful work none the less. i like the gold plating. it makes it POP.

if it were all black you'd walk right past it at a gun show.

i don't know much about performing engraving like that, but i wonder if $2000 is enough for work like that.

I'm sure the price is way high.
Collectors Firearms is here in town and they are typically retail + whatever they feel like that day.

It is one of the most well stocked stores you will ever see. If it isn't in stock there it may no longer be in production or available.

Collector's prices usually are a bit high. They do have an excellent assortment and their staff are usually very friendly and helpful. My wife and I have purchased many firearms from them over the years...

Unfortunately, that engraved M is the only Steyr pistol they have.

A few more examples of engraved guns at Collector's:

If any of your Steyroids are thinking about gathering up several thousand to get one of those, please take an aspirin and lie down until the thought passes.

Or better yet, send the money to me and I'll buy about a dozen fine pistols and send you 11 of them back.

It wasn't gold or as fancy, but I saw an engraved HK P7 at a local gun shop a while back with a price tag of $1,300. It was still sitting there the next time I was in there a few weeks later. Lot of money for a safe queen.
