The Fobus holster SG4 advertised for Sig-Sauer 229 also fitting S9/357/40 is much too tight. The trigger guard section is too narrow. I have to jam the gun in, and I have to be forceful about unholstering it. [They should stop selling it as if it is made for the Steyr. ]

Ooops! I checked just now and they no longer sell this model, they now specify the SG21. I had purchased my SG4 some time last year.

Don't bother trying the SG21... it doesn't fit nearly as good as the SG4. I have tried both and I agree with you, the SG4 is tight, especially in the trigger guard area, but the SG21 is even worse (not even practical). I am using the SG4, but looking for something else. Probably a Grandfather Oak or Comp-Tac.

I am not in the market for a holster but if I ever am I will go with in all likelyhood go with Grandfather of the Oak. Real leather for a fraction of the cost you would expect to pay, how can you go wrong?
