Ran about 300 rounds through the M40 yesterday and at approximately rnd 250 or so I had a failure to feed. I was using WWB 180gr fmj ammo.
It was easy to clear and I fired the rest of my ammo without incident.

What I noticed when clearing the round was that the feed ramp was incredibly dirty. Not just black but caked. 8O
I have not had any problems with WWB being dirty in the past but man it sure is dirty now.

Guns get dirty, and no gun will preform flawlessly forever.

How do you like your new mags??
Love the new mags. :D I thought I sent you a PM stating such but if not, THANKS!

As far as grime goes, I have fired MANY MANY more rounds without cleaning and never seen this much gunk. The WWB was SUPER dirty for whatever reason.

WWB seem to be really clean, or really dirty. I don't get why it seems differant at times. I was told that some WWB is being made in the Czech Republic.

If you want something that burns clean, go get some CCI Blazer Aluminum. Although, you will then have problems to feed and extract due to the aluminum cases.

Damned if you do, damned if you dont?
