Folks,
I'm looking at ammoman.com and the Federal American Eagle 165 gr. sells for only $109/500 delivered. I tried looking at the older post in our ammo forum and I could not find any postings regarding the use of this ammo. Has anyone tried this one yet ?
Thanks,

I have the ammo shoots fine. wouldnt want to carry any federal primed ammo myself with a steyr. federal primers real easy to go off and so far all my steyrs have no issue setting off small rifle primers.

love american eagle ammo wish more local stores had it. sometimes its clean sometimes its dirty. brass is nice to reload though I prefer cci, winchester and r-p brass.

accuracy was better than the shooter.

Thanks mrapathy/Steyr Guru -
for the info. I think for range ammo the Fed Amer Eagle is a bargain at $109/209 - 500/1K delivered from Ammoman.com.

How's the accuracy by the way ?

thanks,

I've loaded about 1500 rounds for my M40 using Federal 100 primers. I've tried some of their defensive ammo, too. I'm comfortable with those primers. To each his own. :)
