I am curious to know how many people here have carry permit. If you have permits from multiple states let us know what states you have.

Thanks

I have one for my home state and have apps for NH and FL sitting here but TX has been really doing well with Reciprocity so far this year so I am holding off on the NH and FL permits. I could use that money for more ammo. :D

I'm actually an anomaly. Virigina is a "shall issue" state with a 45 day limit on processing permits. Well, it's now Day 54 since I turned mine in...so I have a 90-day temporary permit issued by the Clerk of the Court. Apparently our new county judge has a whole pile of permits sitting on her desk that she refuses to sign. So she's in violation of state law. That would be a handy piece of info to have if I was going before her on a charge. "Gee, You Honor, I figured it was okay to break that law -- you did it with those concealed carry permits!".

I plan on waiting until she finally signs my permit, then sending a very polite letter to the Chief Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court to let him know about my experience. He oversees the Circuit Court judges and is reportedly personally interested in judges who flaunt the statute. Notice I said after she signs my permit!

Hope that doesn't happen with my Fairfax paperwork!

My wife and I are both expecting our permits any day now. Took the class, passed the tests, sent the papers, and now play the waiting game. I think AZ gets 60 days to approve/deny. From what I hear, they're pretty quick about getting women's permits out; my sister in law had hers in 3 weeks, but her husband's took almost the full 2 months. They sent the paperwork at the same time. Not the first time I've heard such a story.

12Volt - here's some crazy info for ya:

Arizona's CCW requirements are 16 hours of class time, passing a written test and qualifying shooting test. AZ's permit has reciprocity with 20 states.

Utah's permit (as I'm sure you know but I'll share anyway) consists of a short 3 hour class, no range qualifying, and has reciprocity with 26 states!!

Go figure that shit out........

At least your permit is good in AZ, and vice-versa.

Washington State CCW with reciprocity for several other states. First got the permit 15 years ago when BG's were holding up depositors at the bank where I make large deposits. I decided if I had to work for it, then the BG's could work for it, too. Fortunately, there was only one instance when I ever came close to actually needing it. I have adopted the philosophy of an old, beat-up cop I know: "Just trying to get through; me and my family." The CCW doesn't make us Wyatt Earp, it just gives us an extra tool in the tool chest in case we need it.

Yes, I have one for my state of Washington. I ordered it before I bought my gun, just to make sure I was squared away.

I'm on day 66 of my wait for the permit in Mississippi. They say it can take up to 120 days...wtf am I supposed to do until then?

Used to have a FL permit and carried daily, but unfortunately let it expire while I bounced around the country and was out of guns for several years.

Wife and I are going to Blackwater USA next month for the NC Concealed Carry Course they offer, and should have one within 60 days.

Until then, I'm decent with the Camillus HEAT that's always in my pocket

Well, received a letter from the County today saying my permit was approved and I'll go pick it up tomorrow. Afterwards, I am going straight to Staples to have it laminated! :D 8)
