Hey guys, had a question about some holsters (which would explain why Im in the holsters section). For the CTAC, does the M-40 (not A1) fit into the sig229 model? railed (open bottom) or closed? What about other holsters? Do steyrs also fit into other models? I already have a cheapo uncle mikes, I would like to get a nicer holster.

believe the 229 model works with original M series not sure about MA1 fit.

they may be able to custom up a MA1 holster.

Comp-Tac will make a C-Tac for the Steyr M, but there is an upcharge for custom work.

At the moment they can not make for the A1.

SR - I've got a C-TAC for my Beretta 92 Brigadier, and it's an excellent holster. Comp-Tac runs about a week turnaround time, though the custom fitting might increase that. Excellent company to deal with, and a big supporter of IDPA (I'm an IDPA shooter).

Having said that, my M40 rides in a leather IWB by http://www.concealco.com. It works as well as the C-TAC, and the owner has both M and M-A1s - the guns, not the forms - that he uses. His turnaround time is about two months.

I might've gotten the C-TAC for the M40, but that was before Comp-Tac had the gun Madecov gave them to use as a form.
