finally got mine in. pictures first:

took a little over 4 weeks when i ordered to get here. very happy with it, it was $40 with shipping included. it is leather/kydex and comes with a 1 year warranty. when i ordered it i e-mailed the guy asking about if he can make it for the S9, he was very helpful an assured me he had a mold for the M9. the S9 "clicks" in the holster nicely, and as u can see in one of the pictures it holds it in with decent pressure holding the weight of the S9+11 9mm fine. i had it on for a couple hours the other day with no belt, and it probably will work better with one on. the holster is comfortable enough, i drove around with it on my back for an hour without too much discomfort

i cannot comment on how it draws, because i am pretty new to holsters/ccw and can only compare it to very few other brands, comparitively it is very similar to another all leather holster i have. the holster can be slide back and forth around the waist to adjust exactly where u want it so i need to play around a bit with it. also it was recommended that i break it in so i will wait a bit.

so far the only thing i notice is the slide release does leave a mark on the front portion of the holster. feel free to ask any questions

Does it only attach to the belt in one spot? If it does, how well does it stay in place? I would think it would tend to move around with only one anchor.

Also, how easy is it to grab? Given that the handle is up, it would seem that you would have to twist your hand and run your thumb along the back to grab the grip. To me, a more natural movement would be to run your four fingers along the back and grab a downward facing grip.

Just wondering. I am always interested in a new carry method as my extensive holster collection will attest.

i will get a pic of my fatself wearing it later.yes u have to twist your hands to grab it, which i prefer actually. and actually a pic can be found at their website:

http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/

the holster is clipped on at one point. that is why it is better to have a belt on so it has a sturdier edge to hook on to. and i think since it goes inside the pant it is held on by the pants against the holster+the leather against your back. i will be carrying all spring break and i will let you guys know the pro's and con's of it.

i have another holster that goes outside the belt, which has a belt loop. i prefer this because i can take it on and off without unlooping my belt

Crossbreed secure?

I see from their website that the use C-clips and/or J-hooks. Could someone comment on which is best and how they work? Also, it would seem these holsters would shift around.....do the rivets up against the skin cause any problems? Any opinions on the supertuck IWB vs. their regular IWB?

Crossbreed holsters

Hello all: I just recently received two supertuck adjustable IWB holsters. One for Steyr S40/M9 and another for a Kimber Warrior 1911.

From placing the order to reception of hoslters was about four weeks, exactly the time frame Mark from Crossbreed had told me.

Initially on receiving them I thought that there wasn't much to them. But thats a good thing. They are a very minimalistic design adding practically no added " bulk " to carrying a concealed weapon. They are vey well put together.

Both my M9 and S40 fit perfectly with good retention and they both draw out very nicely. One handed re-holstering is not a problem. I remember someone in another thread mentioning not being able to get a full "firing grip" on his pistol and cutting away some of the leather at the top. I have no problem getting a full firm grasp on the grip with either the M or the S pistol as the holster design is now.

My holsters came with both "J" clips and a full clip which allows you to thread your 1 1/2 inch belt through for a more secure attatchment if you prefer.

I had mine built with a forward cant to help me reduce gun butt printing and it works out well for me holding the pistol grip snugly to my side.

One last thing is that these are very comfortable holsters to wear. No rivets chaffe, and the leather backing spreads the "feel" of the pistol out over a greater area so there is no poking or prodding by the weapon itself.

It works great for both my Steyrs. What I like even more is it works great with my full size 1911 Kimber. I've been using a C-Tac for it and it was always and uncomfortable carry for me no matter how or where I tried to configure or position it on my body. I find the Crossbreed a very comfortable carry for this pistol and it's greatly reduced some printing issues I've had carrying that pistol.

Well, Yes I'm pleased with these holsters and would reccomend them. Can't beat the price either.
