I just got off the phone with USASTEYR, extremely nice people, about my S40. I had a trigger resetting problem where yesterday my trigger transfer bar broke. Anyway the guy told me that there was no recall for triggers only that of older model steyrs with the harder to pull triggers. Owners could get the upgrade of the light pull trigger. So theres the news I know there was talk about this upgrade on one of these threads in here so Im sure its not news to some of you. The range instructor had me convinced that there was a recall on certain serial numbered steyrs where trigger resetting problems would be a pain in the butt.

You are correct, I've never heard of an actual recall, just the option to have an old trigger upgraded to the new one like you stated.

no actuall recall persay. just they will voluntarily replace with new upgraded trigger upon request. Mine was already the new style when i bought it from cdnn.. never encountered one of the older serialed steyrs before.. i just cant imagine my trigger being any smoother. although i did do a lil polishing to get it even sweeter than original.
