I picked up a couple from Waffen Werks a few months back a compact and a fullsize both with the quicksight option. I was a little wary also, but they both run great. The compact has had a little over 1000rds put thru it and not a single malfunction.

It's really not, if you have tried both. Steyrs are great pistols - I own two and just about everyone I know has bought one on my recommendation, but I actually wish the Caracals would have come along sooner. They are just plain better, and by a substantial margin. Buy the Caracal.

Wow what an impressive handgun! I think this gun has the best mag release I have ever felt,its as smooth as glass.The fit and finish is top notch.
The owners manual that comes with these is pretty sweet,color pictures too! Will post a range report soon....

I may get sucked into one of those yet. I keep telling myself to wait for a .40, but the 9mm C is just a sweeet shooter.

Since Waffen Werks is'nt importing them anymore I don't think there is any service work for the time being. The last time I was at WW Keith talked like it could be up to a couple of years before another importer could start importing them again (somthing about the agreement or contract WW had with Caracal AE).

Arghh. Watch 'em change the design when they get a new distributor - just because.
It's a Bubits design, so theoretically someone who's worked on a Steyr could probably figure it out. I haven't heard much yet about parts breakage, but then again only so much info is available on the pistol. Waffen Werks is probably lying low on this issue given the possibility of talking leading to expensive headbanging with Caracal. I'm inclined to wonder, though, whether they wouldn't be able to help if there were any problems. Right now, I seriously doubt anyone in the US really knows more about them than WW.
Still, between the C and that price, an F could be a nice thing to add to the battery.

I hope nothing breaks, so far Im very impressed with the Caracal.Im just over the 600 round mark and no issues,going to order some extra mags in a few days.If this gun keeps shooting this good I might even purchase another F just to have.Next month I will try and order the C model and use it for CCW.Lets hope another distributor picks these up and gets the ball rolling,very good design it just needs some good support.....

Yeah, I hope another importer starts bringing them back into the country too. They are a fine handgun, and we finally got around to offering leather for them and they stopped importing the guns (go figure). At least I stocked up on plenty of mags and a few spare parts for the couple I have because I really enjoy shooting them. And the quicksight C makes a great carry gun.
