From Outside the Wire mil blog:
I thought the one that held his breath the longest was the winner???
This is prime example good old American Cultura. Lets simplified the subject until it just a good old mud throwing match.
For our military to "win the war", one have to provide them with a war, not some Corporate Sponsored Occupation. Our President was right on May 1st 2003 when he stated "Mission Accomplishes". Our military crushed a brutal dictator that was a treat to world stability. They also won on the battlefield with extraordinary honors!
What our President did not mentioned after the USS Abraham Lincoln statement (obviously an accidental lapse) was that he was leasing our soldiers, marines, airmen and sailors to Haliburton and Bechtel so they could profit from very lucrative tax payer contracts. Yep.. That is and interesting concept, our military could be just cheap labor for the contractors....
A friend Marine of mine that served in Iraq (and his still there by the way) told me one day "The mess hall contractor that serve the chow makes more money that I do".
I'm always amazed how our troops managed to prevail again amazing odds.(and I'm serious about this)
NO NO west you are complicating this too much these conservatives that "support the troops" are a lil too dumb to understand these nuances.
Bush for another 4 years!!!!
