This afternoon I sat down to clean my "new" M9 demo gun produced in 2000. When I had picked up the gun from my local shop who handled the out fo state transaction I had only looked quickly down the barrel and saw no issues. Now upon cleaning the gun I have found that the barrel interior is black. Not dirty black, or matte black, but black like black chrome, about the most shiney barrel I've ever seen other than the polygonal rilfled barrel on my old GB. When I shine my light on the very tip of the barrel interior it is clear that it is black as it is when light is shined directly down the barrel interior. Is this the way that the barrels are or is this somethging unusual? I don't recall seeing this on my two MA1s.

And it looks really good, but my MA1s don't have the dark part and my M9 most definitely does!
