So I bought the trigger upgrade kit for the AUG. The video from Steyr on how to install it is lacking. Does anyone have a better document or video for it’s installation?

Are you talking about the red spring upgrade kit?
I think you can get more information on google or youtube, that would be helpful .
That video is okay for the job but not entirely accurate. I think in the video; they are not using an A3. The two springs on the hammer could not be replaced, as shown in the video. I recommend anyone doing this with an A3 take multiple pics at different angles before disassembling their trigger pack.
That’s kind of funny, this is the exact video I use when I installed my spring kit.

Can you explain what issues you had? Why couldn’t your springs be replaced? I replaced them on my A3 trigger packs using this video.

Im guessing you had issues seating the loose end of the spring after the hammer was installed?

So, to seat that spring, I modified a small screwdriver with a Dremel. The slot allows the tip to get a bite in the spring end. This allows you to seat the spring end very easily.

I got the springs replaced. The hammer springs wouldn’t go in like the video showed. My AUG is an older A3, maybe something has changed.
Interesting…….

How did you get them installed?
I did the install for a NATO and a standard trigger pack, easy-peasy
I used the used the trigger pack to put the spring under tension and pushed the hammer into place held it with a slave pin and installed the pin.

Ok
I did it just like the video, but with the modified screwdriver. Took three seconds.

Thanks for sharing your method.
