Lotsa variables, but yes, that is semi- in the right price range depending on the gun.
sounds about right depending on condition and number of magazines.
$3500-$4000 is what I've seen them for. Of course this is for semi auto. Full auto is going to be considerably more.

BUYER BEWARE!

Just FYI, you might want to have a real close look at that weapon before buying it because from what I understand alot of Steyr AUGs are advertised as NIB (New In Box), but have had alot of wear on them without replacement of any parts. The gas cylinder should be very clean if they are advertising it as NIB so check that out first before spending thousands on the rifle. If they wont let you inspect the gas cylinder than I would walk because thats kind of alot of money to lay down for a single rifle regardless of type.

If the rifle has some wear on it or the gas cylinder is very dirty showing heavy use than I would low ball them on the price.
didn't have any plans to buy the thing.....boy i wish i had that kind of disposable income!.....was only wonderin what the going price was for one. I assume it was new, but really don't know for sure...didn't ask to handle it......was rather amused by the gan banger boys in there looking at the new mac 10's...
MAC 10s....what a hunk of junk.

I guess its a good thing that gang bangers get all their weapons info from the movies.

so you wouldn't be scared of some hoped up rock stars spraying full auto w/ a MAC-10 then. I guess it'll just jam halfway throught the first mag, right

I personaly find the thought one that keeps me training and carrying #-o
Ummm, did I say that I thought there was nothing to fear from these weapons?????

Nope. I still stand by the statement that the MAC 10 is a hunk of junk when compared to the Steyr TMP, FN P90, or HK PDW MP7 and I would rather have criminals armed with substandard weapons than quality firearms. Why anyone would carry a MAC 10 when so many other options in compact submachinguns are available is beyond me other than the fact that they've seen them in movies or a rap video.
A few years ago some ignorant doofus stole a pair of MP5s from a Customs warehouse in Birmingham, Alabama, and sold them for a couple hundred to a gangbanger idiot who was seen all over town brandishing the pair like some movie pimp/bad*ss. Needless to say, the Feds went ballistic. They don't seem to mind all the Mac10 junk and sideways Glocks on the street, but they took this very seriously (plus they were embarrased to have lost them in the first place-- it was an inside job by a security guard).
Having said that, it is just my luck I will be shot by some 17 year old with a hunk of junk held sideways, and a defense lawyer will get him off as a juvenile, so I will keep my S9 cleaned, keep in practice, and pack it any time I leave the house. If you leave it at home, you will only need it once.
Yup, I get really upset when I think that every anti-gun or domestic gun kissing politician sold America on the import restrictions claiming among other things that it would take cheap weapons off the street....didn't work that well now did it. 8-O

All the junk just got cloned and the weapons that never ended up in the hands of criminals like the Steyr AUG are almost impossible to get for folks that follow the law. If you guys think that people are paying crazy money for Steyr AUGS take a look at http://www.hkpro.com sometime....man are those HK fans pissed off.

Steyr needs an American partner like FN Herstal did with Browning and Winchester that was a very intelligent move on FNH's part as they can now sell the FNS2000 and FNS P90 in the US to civilians.

Do you guys think that a company will ever Clone AUGs like some have done with the MP5 series of HK weapons? Has there ever been talk about Steyr allowing an American company to clone them?

bushmaster makes a "bullpup"
interestingly enough one of my friends just got the bushmaster bullpup. it is NO aug mind you. it looks very futuristic without the hindrance of style. mho.

seemed kind of heavy and clunky. maybe it balances really well, haven't fired it yet.

can't wait to ram 50 rounds through it. crossing my fingers to get the invite!

I just sent mine to KKF for customization to the tune of $690

It will look like this, only add a bi-pod and an EOTech 552 AA sight.

No loss of style here IMHO.

Not any more, it has been discontinued, if you want one, you better start looking now.

When are Americans going to see the value in the bullpup design? Nice long barrel with short overall length is a nice way to go.

@TheGuyver

 Hi,
Sorry, but it looks like a plastic gun the Spacetroopers used in Starwars, but not like a real AUG.

It's not supposed to be an AUG, It just so happens that not all of us have 3000 to 4000 dollars, US, to spend on a rifle. And the M17s is about as close as we are going to get.

[edit] Maybe that was a little over sensitive on my part, sorry, post fixed.

either someone's being condescending or someone is being hyper sensitive. Not obvious from reading and I don't care. This thread will be locked w/ one more negative comment from anyone.
