Does anyone have any ideas how to mount a tactical light on an AUG? I am interested in specific mounts that might fit an AUG and any ideas would be appreciated. thanks!
If you have a A2 with the picatinny rail you can use a angle mount which will place the light so that it will not obstruct your sights. Search the net with "picatinny angle mount" or check if these would work: (Dovetail angle mounts) http://www.uws.com/YANKEEHILL/HomePage.html
Thanks. I have a USR, but I prefer to keep it with the factory optic. I could swear that I saw something that clamps around the front leg of the scopemount. But I cannot seem to find it or a reference to it. If I can find a picture I will post it.
http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_ ... /sesent/00 keep searching are some items available somewhere. if not worse thing is have to buy couple rails and have someone do some minor machining work and bolt them together. would avoid barrel clamp type stuff.
Thanks MrApathy. That is exactly the unit I saw somewhere. At $441 retail, I think I will pass--at least for now. And I agree to avoid any barrel clamps.
Okey then, next try: http://www.uws.com/YANKEEHILL/9464.html Get a picatinny rail and have a gunsmith bolt it to your receiver or stock. The link has a 3" version but even shorter should do (well, depends on the lights mount really). Of course this is not an option for gun safe queens.
