I read about this forum last month about the brass. Mine also have the problem. Is there any remedy? pls post. help http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b59/zolius/brass2.jpg[/img]
my new M9-A1 does that too, I think all of them do... I heard it goes away after a while, but not sure how that's possible :?
What bother is that before I only used as my CCW now I'm using it for competition. Many rounds will be used for practice and I'm afraid that I can't used or reload again the brass because of scratches beside the pirmer.
Most of the striker swipe is on the primer, which you going to throw out anyways, the brass is fine. I already reloaded the brass I shot though my M9-A1 w/ no problems. But I can tell which case was shot though the gun because of the loaded chamber indicator dent.
copper plated is that way to go cheaper than FMJ and because lead (inside) is completely enclosed it's also cleaner.
Another alternative to lead is coated lead. I've used bullets by http://www.precisionbullets.com with no leading. Their prices right now are $60/k delivered for 185 grain .40s. They're extremely popular with USPSA shooters, who aren't afraid to push their loads. I've used their 155 grain .40s in my M40, and obtained excellent accuracy and no leading.
