Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...

Yes, it's yet another BS story from a Brit newspaper about "Austrian" sniper rifles from Iran being used on troops in Iraq, this time British troops. At least there's no mention of the word "Steyr" in the story, but how many Austrian arms makers manufacture sniper rifles and have sold some to Iran?

And just like the Daily Telegraph's "unconfirmed reports" there's no evidence even offered in the story that the sniper rifles that killed the British troops even came from Austria. It's the old "you must be guilty because we say you are." Guilty until proven innocent. Ticks me off, particularly after the Telegraph's story has been proven false and was just dying down. Now this, tossing some more gas (and hot air) on the fire of bad Steyr publicity.

This time instead of the London Sunday Telegraph it's the Daily Mail from U.K.

What do they have against Steyr? Maybe if we could get them on the range they'd stop "drinking the 'hate-o-rade'" and STFU.
