Hey guys,

Wondering if it's possible to use 9mm Steyr rounds in my Steyr pistols? And if not, why not? What was the 9mm Steyr used in?

What is the difference between the Steyr round and the 9mm Luger round? Any physical differences?

Thanks,
Paul

The 9mm Steyr was for the 1912 Steyr, which was the Austrian WWI service pistol.
Case length is 23mm, versus 19mm for the 9mm Luger or Parabellum... they are in no way interchangeable.
I can't offhand think of any other pistol chambered for the 9mm Steyr... I think it was also used in submachine guns by the Austrians in the 1930's, but my memory is a little fuzzy on that.

Ahh, thanks! I had always wondered, now I know!
