I was putting an order in with my local Gun Range to purchase a new M357A1 since I sold my S40 to a forum member. After doing the check and price the Dealer was told it is a 2004 model. Is there a significant difference between the 2004 from the 2005 other than Manufacture date? Did Steyr change something I was unaware of?

they were probably manufacturing them in 2004 I am pretty sure. Because I think there was some time before they even started comeing to the states. I could be wrong though.

Currently all stock will be 2004 manufacture. Since Steyr is just ramping up for the USA I doubt there was more than 1-2 import shipments.

I purchased my A1 direct from the distributor and it is a 2004.
