Just curious, why do you block out the slide on your XD? Is this is the same reason people quote their serial numbers as 028XXX? I don't get it, are gun serial numbers like car license plates, that you can get an address from them if you try really hard?

Not sure about that since I retain all the paperwork from when I bought each gun new from the dealer so I don't think that could happen with any of those 5.
