Yeah, you guys should get some Steyr folks together I know you've got a few in your area.
Sounds like a good day at the range nothing like that male bonding with firearms. That .44 has to be a blast to shoot I love my dad's .357 Magnum and as old as the 1911 design is I think that it is STILL the standard for every semi-auto pistol.
The Makarov is a decent pistol, but I've got a Gun Mag "Combat Arms" that had a story about how the Russians are planning on doing away with it in favor of a new polymor gun they've come up with.
I love the Steyr recoil. I had a friend shoot my M40 a few weeks back and he had this funny look on his face, turned to me, and said "WOW, that feels like a 9mm." I've never fired the M9, but I'll have to try that or an M9A1 at some point just compare recoil.
