Anyone try their polygonal rifled barrels? I am considering changing my barrel - my M9A1 doesn't seem to group well. Perhaps its me, but I have never had great accuracy with my Steyr. I shoot 124gr Berry propelled with 4.2 grains of Titegroup. http://www.igb-barrels.com/

Steyr could use a little more exposure. If someone with a few Steyrs could send them to Hickock45 he could shoot them and thousand and thousands of people would see them in action. If I worked at Steyr Arms I'd send him a few examples to evaluate. What do you think?

I almost did not get this pistol because of all the problem threads posted here. My M9 is 100% reliable after 200 rds fired out of the box and will group 3"@25 yds. highly recommended.

I am glad :) to find a steyrclub on the web. In our tiny country Holland i could not find any. i'd love to exchange knowledge about steyr rifles and reloading ammunition for this rifle, but i am also curious about steyr handguns so hopefully there is a lot to share...

This past Monday my wife and I went to the range and shot her C9-A1 and my M9-A1. My M9 was consistently low with "groupings" at about 15 yards and at 10 yards as well. I shot her C9 and it was dead on accurate, comparatively so. Yes, I know how to use the sights and am wondering if...

Anyone have the S&W version? I have read there is much ado about the S&W version. What are your thoughts?

I can honestly say even with practice I could NEVER shoot my Glock this well, I know the more experienced shooters could blow these targets out of the water but for my first time with the pistol I am very happy with the results and it will only get better. I do notice that at 7 yards aiming...

Just purchased my first sniper rifle. Steyr SSG 69P1 w/set triggers, threaded barrel, and 2 extra mags. Also has a Schmidt & Bender 10x42 PM fixed scope w/ P-1 reticle. This is my first toe in the water so to speak so I hope the $1800 was money well spent. Both gun and scope are in excellent...

As a couple of you know, I just recently bought a Steyr S40-A1 last week when I was lucky enough to find just one shop in town that had a Styer and luckily it was just what I was looking for: an S40-A1. But enough chit chat, on to how the Steyr did this weekend! I went to the range Saturday...

Hi all, First post. Looking to buy a Pro Hunter and would appreciate any advice. My b/g is mainly in smaller calibres and want to buy a centrefire rifle to try it out. Currently my budget is pointing towards a ProHunter, most likely in .243 (as that would be enough for the ranges I'd be...

Hi all, Finally got to the range with my new C9-A1. I shot 122grn fmj fp's and 115grn Fmj RN ammunition. Sights: It took me about 30 rounds to get somewhat used to the trap sights. Over all I think they will be as good as three dot..maybe better for me.. Feeding: Had one FTF in a hundred...

Finally got my new M9 PW Arms (Cabelas) to the range. Using Winchester White box 115 grain Luger I got 1 FTE in 185 rounds using 3 different brand new magazines. This is also my first time shooting a plastic gun, at 10 yards I was hitting way right (about 6 inches) from bullseye. Thought it was...

Hello Everyone, I found this forum while looking for something totally else. Seems like some nice people here and glad I found it. Beside that I made my hobby my job, I do love the Steyr M and M A1. Through my shop I see sometimes some Steyr, but not as much as I like to see. Here one of the...

hello everybody, after a long wait we finally got our new old M-9 out of the military depot in the domenican republic. it had the slightest corrosion and came with one 10-round magazine, which should be sufficient for self-defence. luckily some soldier sold us 100 rounds of aguilla 124grain luger...

Let me preface this by saying---there's more than one 'right' way to grip a handgun. That said, there's a lot of wrong ways and I see that all to often so that's the root of this post and video. I shot a quick how to video for shooters out there who don't know how to properly grip a semi...
  16. AUG, MSAR
Traded into a slightly experienced A1 model last week. Took her to the range today for a maiden run...I shot an AUG for the first time. The performance was stunning. I won't miss that Chinese Legend wench; not in the least. These five shot groups were shot from a sand-bagged bench at 25, 50...

Hi Does anyone know where I can buy an adjustable sight? (steyr m9-a1)

My M9 shoots left of center continuously. I need to move the front sight to the left. I have about 600 rounds through the weapon now. I'm used to the trap sight system ( I like it). Is there a specific tool used to move the front sight? How have you guys adjusted your sights. Thanks in...

This rifle continues to amaze me. For a light barreled sporter with a plastic stock it shoots nearly as consistently as my Remington PSS did. Not quite as tight but as consistent. A couple of days ago at the range shooting at 100 yards with a newly added Kahles 3-9x42 scope I fired 5 groups...
