  1. Anything Else
Mold for the M-A1. Can you guess what is coming? The CZ PCR arrived as well. Real nice piece. I have pics if you boys want them....The internal finishing is gorgeous and I am very impressed with the gun. But that aside, expect real serious holsters for the M-A1 come January.
  2. M, C, L and S Series
I committed to changing the way i hold my m40 for the whole time i was at the range yesterday..........I didn't hit a flippin thing......it was quite embarassing. Next time I'll go back to the way I'm used to with my off hand supporting from the bottom....I just needed to vent. -Longshot
  3. Carry Issues
many of us here are gun people. like 'em, own' em, shoot 'em. in a lot of circumstances we all see the same issue in the same way. the previous post brought an interesting question to my mind. one that i think gets bounced around gun lobbyists offices and legislatures desks pretty...
  4. Tactics and Training
i have a theory. the reason we shoot double taps today is because officers carrying double/single guns needed to practice the transition from double action to single action. no point firing 3 or 5 rounds. just two to complete the transition. what's the point? everybody in handguns...
  5. Carry Issues
Read this: http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/loca ... 3200c.html If he wasn't ready to follow through then why the hell did he have the damn gun on him in the first place. It doesn't matter who/what the threat is. You must act quickly and accordingly. A concealed permit is not a novelty. It's...

  7. Anything Else
I can't believe this passed: http://www.newsday.com/news/politics/wi ... 4422.story It still boggles my mind that Americans can let one of thier rights be taken away so easily. Everything this country stands for is the complete opposite of what has happened in San Fran in this case. If they are...
  8. M, C, L and S Series
Hello all. I appologize in advance if I'm asking redundant questions, but the situation seems to be in flux and I would like the correct current answers. Thanks in advance. 1) What is the standard warranty on an M9 2) How is the current warranty support? Is there a US distributor/service...

  10. Tactics and Training
Got my ASP red gun of the M. It's a bit larger than the real thing at the the front around the trigger guard and where the serial number would be on the frame. Thus, it won't fit into my HBE Com3. I was hoping to be able to use this thing for training with the holster I use now. I...
  11. Other Rifles
Hi. Hope someone can help me here. I'm trying to top off my collection and was wondering if someone might have some positive and negative points on an SSG 04 I'm eyeballing. I have heard that some don't like the trigger mechanism. But not sure why. Also, if anyone has any ideas where I...
  12. CCW

    Carry Issues
I have Fla. CCW, but waiting on qualifying for new Fed. law governing retired LE. It states LE and retired LE can carry in any state (simplification). My problem is that it is more restrictive than CCW permits. One must qualify, with carry weapon, by their agency standards. Most CCW permits...
  13. Tactics and Training
Hey Steyr Brotherhood, My graduation from law school is right around the corner and my long time plan has been to take a little personal vacation after the Bar Exam as a reward for my hard work. To that end I have been looking into many professional private training organizations around the...
  14. Industry News
Steyr Mannlicher just cut a deal with Walmart. Look on Walmart's website and type in Steyr! Service location and Steyr USA are being moved, from what I understand. Gunsmiths are being flown to Austria for training, so that they will be familiar and able to fix both past and present models...
  15. Tactics and Training
I'm just getting started with competition shooting...so bear with me! I'm going to start shooting USPSA Production Division soon. I've been warned that WWB 115 gr doesn't always make the floor for minor. I'm also skpetical about it's knock-down power for steel targets at any distance. All of...
  16. M, C, L and S Series
hello, i am in somewhat of a delimma as to what gun i should carry. i currently own a steyr s9 and an xd-9 subcompact. i love both guns, but i favor the s9 over the xd-9. it also conceals better for me than the xd-9 which was unexpected. i have shot the glock 26 and think it is a great gun...
  17. M, C, L and S Series
I've pared down to two pistols, a Kahr PM9 which is my lightweight, thin CCW and the recently acquired Steyr M9. BTW, I like both pistols and especially the M9 with the fifteen rounds. It's taken me a few years to find the 'right' pistols that I shoot 'decently' and most of all feel comfortable...
  18. Ammunition and Reloading
Maybe I am behind the power curve on this one, but I made this wonderful discovery at the range last weekend. I was trying out my Remington Golden Sabre's, and I almost had to do a double take to check if I had the right gun. The recoil on the weapon was MUCH less than with standard Blazer...
