  1. Maintenance / Tweaks / Technical Difficulties / So
Looks like my new S40 is hit with the trigger reset bug. Have checked out Big Taco's trigger reset tutorial. However, before I continue, let me run my scenario out to the club. Picked it up Friday as it came in that day. So once I got to the FFL/range, I took it like a little kid at...

  4. New Member Check-In
New member to the forum. Been shooting all my life and have had my M9. It's by far the best I've shot but takes a little to get used to. Now I almost prefer the tap sights and how the slide draws your eye to the sight over anything else. There are bigger and nicer "fancy" firearms but the...

hey guys, i havent been on the forum in forever but i started lurking and started reading about newer gen M9's. I know i have one of the newer models since i have the rollpin under the rear sight, but im not sure if theres a newer version that came out or what. I do experience FTE every now and...

Thanks you! I have owned my Steyr M9-A1 for several years. It has been a great pistol for me. I love taking it to the range, its fits my hand wonderfully, its lines are great, and shoots well. I have had some issues with the pistol, but as I was primarily just a “range” shooter they did not...
  9. M, C, L and S Series
Hi there, a couple of weeks ago I started shooting a bit to the left. So naturally I thought "need to work on the fundamentals again!"... and so I did... aaaaand nothing... still to the left. I never doubt the sights of the gun but yesterday I went to the range to do some basic drills and still...

Hi from Texas. Took the M40 out back yesterday and I am impressed! (Like sampling a fine wine for the first time)
  11. M, C, L and S Series
I currently own a Glock 22, which I have decided is to "snappy" for my liking. I started watching videos on the Steyr M9A1 and have been enveloped by the positive reviews, issues, shooting capabilities and accuracy of this pistol. I planned to go back to a 9mm after taking my GF to shoot my G22...
  12. M, C, L and S Series
I don't know much about these pistols, but I came across a Steyr M40 for sale and started doing some reading. Seems like a great handgun that is well designed and apparently well balanced. It appears to be an earlier version with the old style grip and odd rail. They are asking around $330 but...
  13. Forum News and Rules
I finally got around to updating the original skin/theme for the forum that we started with. I am sure that some of you will not like it, but I have wanted to switch it back for a very long time now. If you see any issues let me know! -D

Second outing with my new to me M40-A1. So far, so good. I am VERY satisfied so far as I have had 100% reliablity. I have used Federal JHP 180, American Eagle, and Hornady CD. This gun is so much fun it is getting expensive. Havent had this much fun shooting since I got rid of my HK USP compact 40.

First off, thanks to ThorInc for inspiring me to finally... bite the bullet? Drop the hammer? Or some other appropriate saying meaning "to stop being a wuss and just buy a damn Steyr." :) I'd been following the M9 for many moons and decided that when I finally got my firearms license, it was...

Long Post, sorry So how did I get to this point.... I shot my first pistol at 15. Colt. 45. and a Ruger .22 I bought my first pistol in 2007 from Wolverine Supplies, a Springfield XD in .45, it was a beauty, never had a stoppage but as I was leaving the store I saw the Steyr, I instantly had...

Steyr has made an announcement that they will be dropping handgun prices by $89 across the board which means the M-A1,S-A1 & C-A1 . This is their way of getting a better hold on the market of polymer guns by having a really better price.
  19. Caracal C and F Series
I'm new to Steyr / Caracal. I originally started looking at the M&P 9C or Shield as a EDC replacement, then moved from there to the Walther PPQ and then to the Steyr S9-A1. Then discovered Caracal C, only to find out the Caracal bought Steyr in 2002 (is that correct?) and the pistols were...

I purchased one of the Dan's Ammo M9-A1's a couple of months ago. The gun was flawless for approx. 150 rounds. This past weekend, I intended to use it at an advanced personal defense handgun course ( http://tac2.net/index.php?template=classdetail&recno=4 ) here in east Tennessee. Much to my...
