  1. M, C, L and S Series
Hi fellow Steyr fans and owners. I am in Toronto and have just placed a deposit on my first Steyr, an L9-A1. As the guns in Canada at least have dot sights and not the trap sights, I am wondering if anyone knows of night sights that are designed specifically for this model? If I could speak...

Does anyone have any idea how to remove the Parker Hale bipod spigot from an SSG-08? The original Parker Hale is way too heavy and unstable. The Versapod knock offs are cheaply made. It seems like it should be removable with tools. I would rather do that, than hacking off the spigot. Any help...

So when did Steyr come out with the new trigger that has the roll pin? I'm looking at a 2011 M9-A1 but I would like to get a gun that has the new improved trigger.

Gentlefolk, This is a follow-up to a previous post, but have found myself with an option to get an M9 or C9... And no, I cannot get both...right now... I have an M40, so I thought maybe a C9 might be a nice variation...but I don't know the C series, and I REALLY like my M...so seeking other...

Attended a pistol class 4-6-13. The class was given by 914 Consulting at C2Shootng and it was a Vickers Shooting Method class. The class was great, the Steyr not so much. It started off fine, you know the drill. You are the only guy that shows up with "the other Austrian Pistol". Had a custom...

I will be honest I was concerned about getting another 40 S&W after my Glock but someone local had an S40 for sale at a great price and I decided to jump on it. The trip to the range I kept going over about how my Glock felt with the 40 and was wondering even before I shot it if I had made a...

Can the S9 hold more rounds than 10? The M9 and C9 can hold 17 rds, but they only appear to be 3/4 of an inch longer for grip length than the S9, does Steyr plan on making a higher round count magazine? Looking at my S9's magazine it almost looks like 1/2 of the mag is not being utilized. The...

I am happy I finally acquired myself a new C9-A1 handgun the other day. Ordered it in from Dave at CompactFirearms.com along with two additional 17rd mags. Instead of the listed 3 Dot sights it came with the Trap sights installed which I was pleased to see. I am liking them. Also it has a Born...

OK, what is the straight story on the current crop of M9-A1's (with updated trigger, roll pin, etc) regarding any issues? I can't keep track. I am about to buy a brand new M9-A1 and want to know. If there are still issues, I am not gonna bother and will just use my old S9 , which has been...

So last monday i went saw the new bond flick, skyfall, loved it. Had to buy a new gun, wanting to stick with 9x19. Notice the villan's gun is one i've heard about but constantly avoided the m9a1. Did some research and went a third a way across the state to buy my m9a1. Its a pw arms marked...

After two range trips with my S9-A1 I'm still a bit perplexed about the sight picture. I've been following this diagram: http://www.steyrclub.com/vb/threads/4904-Steyr-Trap-Sights-Guide but I'm still shooting high. My question is when you are looking at the front sight do you see any of the...

Does this "RAS" just refer to he post-2010 pistols (m/c/s -a1) with the roll pin under the rear sight or is it a newer update on those guns. I am basically concerned about ordering a most current gun with the revised extractor and trigger from a reliable source( nobody seems to have an m9- a1 in...

I'm relatively new to pistol shooting and recently purchased a NIB M9-A1, it is one of the nicest pistols I have had the pleasure to shoot. I'm having some FTE issues and was hoping to learn from the folks with the knowledge how to resolve my issues. Glock 17 STI GP-6C 9mm S&W M&P 9mm...

Now that I have your attention... I haven't seen very many M-A1 series or any of the Caracal pistols at the local shows, but today I saw both. 2 different tables had them side by side and that made for a great chance to compare. Those of you that already own both may agree or disagree with a...

I just acquired a brand new, new-generation (roll pin, no LCI, etc.) M9-A1 9mm Steyr. I use M9 frames, and do not need the new frame of the gun (the plastic part that is considered the firearm). If I were to put it out there for, say, $195, would anyone be interested? It is brand new.

So I purchased a Jeff Cooper Edition .308 Steyr Scout awhile ago but only recently got around to actually shooting it. Boy, was I surprised at the recoil of this rifle. I could only manage 5 shots before I cried uncle. I've been looking for the soft recoil pad ever since but can't seem to...
