Here I am, the lover of a gun with no accessries, most useful, least useable. (forgive the prosaic license) Is there a pin that can be installed across the two holes in the grip bottom for a more practical lanyard implementation ? Putting a lanyard press clip in the hole in a plastic grip will...
  2. New Member Introductions
Hey guys, just thought I'd check in, I tend to lurk, read a lot but decided to "take the plunge", this seems like a great forum and TONS of info. I've read quite a few posts where other members were having complications with their Steyrs and that got me to thinking (dangerous I know) I have an...

I just acquired a brand new, new-generation (roll pin, no LCI, etc.) M9-A1 9mm Steyr. I use M9 frames, and do not need the new frame of the gun (the plastic part that is considered the firearm). If I were to put it out there for, say, $195, would anyone be interested? It is brand new.

Hello all, new member here. I wanted a Steyr M from the moment I found out about them, but that was during the time they were no longer being imported, and I didn't want to get into an unsupported weapon system. I went with Glock. I realize now that almost all of the modifications (grip...

  7. Ammunition and Reloading
I like to shoot the WWB .40 180 gr JHPs at pigs, but i have noticed that the hollow point is very inconsistant. What I mean is that the 'hollowed out' portion is different from bullet to bullet. Has anyone ever tried to carefully widen some of the narrower hollow points found in common...

According to the USA Steyr web page, the M-series mags work for both 9mm and .40 SW: "This Magazine will work will the following calibers: .40 S&W 12 Round and .9mm 14 Round". Is that accurate? Can I load my M9 mags with .40 cartridges & then shoot them in a M40?
  9. Anything Else
M9s did well today. First for Mrs. Steyr, third for me, also 6th overall with about 150 shooters. There were a lot of very expensive handguns that placed behind the two Steyrs in the match. Sorry you all missed it as it was a great match and a lot of fun.

I am the PROUD owner of an M9A1 and S9. I bought the M9A1 used with some custom "modifications" and the S9 new from Davidson's. Many thanks to the members of this board and over at GT for their insightful postings. Without all the informative posts, I would not have run out to purchase the S9...

Can anyone get some data on the dimensions of Glock or similar guide rods? The idea is to find another pistol with a match for the M9 for which a Lasermax sight is made and use it in the Steyr. If nothing is an exact match, but it is close enough and can me properly modified, then I think I...
