  1. M, C, L and S Series
Just picked up my M9A1 today and have some questions. 1. When I release the mag catch lever the slide comes forward and hits the mag, becoming stuck. When I hit mag lever down with some force(like some people do to load their pistols) the slide did finally go forward, but this isn't something I...

Newbie goes and buys a C9-A1 for wife to use (and of course me). Newbie falls in love and allows a M9-A1 to follow me home last week. Sigh. I haven't shot it yet, but I did break it down and clean her all up for this week. I can't wait.

Why Did it Have to be ... Guns? by L. Neil Smith [email protected] Over the past 30 years, I've been paid to write almost two million words, every one of which, sooner or later, came back to the issue of guns and gun-ownership. Naturally, I've thought about the issue a lot, and it...
  5. New Member Check-In
Hello everyone, obviously I'm a new guy here. Originally from Missouri, stationed in Kansas, deployed to Afghanistan. I own a M40-A1 and it's one of the nicest pistols I've shot. I'm really looking forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge available from here.

Hey Guys, Considering the purchase of a 1911 Government model, wanted to know if anyone here also has one or could make some experienced recommendations. I have always wanted one...I like the way they look. I think I want a 45 single stack, match barrel and bushing, ambi-safety, trigicon...

I braved the cold today with my grandpa to go do some shooting. We were both using 9mm - I had my Steyr C9A1, and he had a Sig P250 compact. We stuck my Viridian C5L on the bottom of his gun, though even the green laser was a bit difficult to see on the snow in the bright daylight...

So, I was showing my new M9-A1 to my friends the other day and they both started laughing. Then, one of them said "It's a man licker!" They laughed for a good long while. This made me think that sales of Steyr products in the U.S.A. would likely surge if the word MANNLICHER was left off all...
  10. Holsters
Hey all, I'm looking for a great OWB holster for my M40-A1. I'm also looking for some mag pouches. If you all could provide me with some places or people to talk to that would be great. Thanks, Aboege0720

I wanna start by saying I freaking love this pistol!!! So far I've put around 1800 rounds of American Eagle 180grain and not one issue... Maybe it's my OCD about having a clean pistol but I clean it after every range day (200-300 rounds)... Pistol is amazingly accurate and target acquisition is...

Looks like my new S40 is hit with the trigger reset bug. Have checked out Big Taco's trigger reset tutorial. However, before I continue, let me run my scenario out to the club. Picked it up Friday as it came in that day. So once I got to the FFL/range, I took it like a little kid at...

When I go to pick up my new piece from the gun shop are there any opinions about firing it then and there out of the box? I don't want to find out there is a problem after I get home. Should I just use snap caps at the gun shop? Should I fully clean and lubricate it myself at home first before...

Since I know there are lots of CZ fans on this board - I just purchased a new Sarsilmaz K2. Quick description - .45 ACP, 14+1, DA/SA, steel frame, 4.5" barrel, 40 oz, with rail, Turkish made - looks like the Turks are putting out some nice stuff - and under $500. Wonderful gun - may have the...

I'm really really really digging this one!!!:D Picked her up today. Ran home cleaned it up and took the S9 and my Sig P938 (which was just returned from Sig this week) to the range. I had 0 malfunctions. Weapon performed flawlessly. Listed is what I ran through it (288 rounds...

It's 2306 here in Kabul and I think I'm ready to by my first handgun sight unseen, a S-A1 in 40. Maybe it's the Sig P229 on my hip that is just like my Sig back home, but I've come to the realization I just don't like the heavy DA trigger. With a Glock and a Kahr PM9, a Steyr in 40 seems to...

My M9A1 has a little hitch before it snaps into battery if you run the slide really slow. Sometimes it doesn't snap fully into battery when run this way and you have to push it home. Feels like it might be something in the trigger group/fire controls. Advice?

Hey all! Firstly, no spoilers here. But secondly! Near the end of the new James Bond movie, Skyfall, check out the villain's handgun - it's definitely a Steyr M40. :)
