Installing the hammer and hammer springs on the Steyr GB can be challenging because each hammer spring must be wound and its fixed (hooked) end inserted into a cavity in the underside of the sear (Figure 1). This can be done using some thin steel wire, a hook tool or dental pick, and a flat...

I searched "drop free" in this forum but came up craps. Any suggestions on making these mags drop free like my glocks? I had some serious trouble yesterday at our local IDPA match. Had to "rip" the mag out every damm time.

I don't get to this forum much, but I thought I'd mention that I ordered a thumb break pancake holster from A.E. Nelson. I had to leave the gun for maybe 4 to 6 weeks. That was no big deal since I live about 20 minutes from their shop. When you walk in the front door, you immediately sense that...

Being a wimp with small hands, both the weight and the grip size of the M9A1 as well as the short reset is great for me. But what kills me is the trigger pull weight of 25N, while it breaks clean my finger just struggles to produce the amount of force. Is it even technically possible to get it...

Greetings from smokey Colorado. After trying out a friends Steyr, I found and purchased a used M9-A1 at the gun show this past January as my first ever handgun. I love the gun, but I have had numerous extraction failures. It seemed to be mostly linked to the remanufactured bulk ammo I had...

Does this seem normal to you guys? This is a loaded gun with only a slight amount of pressure put on the front of the slide. It will hold back and stay held back. This gun was mfg. November of 2012. The trigger is also 7lb 11oz average by my lyman digital scale. What's up with this thing?

I am glad :) to find a steyrclub on the web. In our tiny country Holland i could not find any. i'd love to exchange knowledge about steyr rifles and reloading ammunition for this rifle, but i am also curious about steyr handguns so hopefully there is a lot to share...

This past Monday my wife and I went to the range and shot her C9-A1 and my M9-A1. My M9 was consistently low with "groupings" at about 15 yards and at 10 yards as well. I shot her C9 and it was dead on accurate, comparatively so. Yes, I know how to use the sights and am wondering if...

I was able to put 50 rounds down range this AM and the only word I can use is sweeeeet. The M40 out of the is great. The only problem is I use trifocal glasses. Every time I try to focus I see two front sights. So a funny thing happened on my way to the range today. I notice several times as I...

I'm finally comitted to get a .308 scout. What is the best scope for it ? I'm considering the Burris Scout scope 2.75x7. Is this a good option ?

What would you like to tell them about the A1 pistols that you don't like? For me it would have to be the ability of the gun's slide to be pushed slightly back when cocked. By the way, have new production guns been cured of this ill? I know there's a fix here for it but I am wondering if Steyr...

For those of us late to the Steyr handgun game, this looked like a good deal on factory magazines. Just went on sale last night (20MAR13)

Hey all! I'm relatively new to the Club here, been stalking a while. I picked up an S40-A1 back in February and have put 170 rounds down range. The guns a beauty, I really like it, but I'm having trouble with the TriTrap sights. As my name implies, I'm a Walther fan and absolutely love my...

I work as an automotive collision technician, and as many of you probably know, the automotive business is a pretty thankless line of work and some days can be pretty stressful...today was one of those days...I was burnt. Just arrived home and checked the mail before I walked in my front door,and...

Greetings: Since Steyr holsters seem to be a rare item, I have created this post. I will add holster manufacturers that claim to make holsters specifically for Steyr pistols. Please note that I am just listing what they claim on their websites. Companies with an (?), do not list specific...

Here are some pics of the 1 I made. I just want to get a feel for if the investment is worth it and if I would have any clientele.
