  1. M, C, L and S Series
I wish the they would have done the C model a little different, with a M slide and a S grip a la CCO.

This is an old receipe, but nonetheless a great one. And guess what, it's cheap! For those of you who like it or are interested in other receipes - lead fouling anyone? Try http://www.frfrogspad.com/homemade.htm 1 qt - Dexon ATF 1 qt - Acetone 1 qt - Kerosene 1 qt - Mineral Spirits Use a high...

I just acquired a brand new, new-generation (roll pin, no LCI, etc.) M9-A1 9mm Steyr. I use M9 frames, and do not need the new frame of the gun (the plastic part that is considered the firearm). If I were to put it out there for, say, $195, would anyone be interested? It is brand new.

O well , I'm just going to say it. Rojak P18. Is there any thing usefull in there for a GB guy. Anyone ever tried parts? Maybe even a mag?? On the same note . Anyone ever shot one and what kind of "issues" did it have? Just wondering.

http://youtu.be/bPBZiZaJDP4 Now, I'm not a glock hater,... Okay, I sort of am. But. Uhm. WTF? The barell heats up the plastic and the @#*($#@ gun melts and deforms? And people are touting glock like its the be all end of all guns, and just 50 rounds will melt the lower and deform it? This...

I have one on back order from Wolverine, and a local shop told me 8-10 weeks from BladeTech. Ugh. Hoping I can find one in the US that will ship to Canada immediately. Anyone? Cheers.

Finally got to the range today to shoot my Steyr for the 1st time. Last experience at the range with my Taurus was not pleasant - about a jam every 10 rounds or so. Other than the Taurus, my J-frame range time was limited to about 25 rounds of torture, as it is not pleasant to shoot. Well, after...

Out of battery or over scrutinizing? My M9-A1 has been perfect so far in 500 rounds. I was doing basic cleaning after my range day today and noticed afterward that there's slightly more gap between the body and slide on the left side than there is on the right side. Also noticed the guide rod...

The Beretta 90-Two (usually called the "dash-2" for short) was an attempt to improve upon some of the complaints about the original M9/92FS series firearms. It added a standard picatinny rail, internal buffer for increased recoil absorption, dovetailed front sight, captured guide rod, and...

Went to the range today and took my M9-A1. It is one of the PW Arms pistols. It has had to be massaged a bit to work well - new extractor and had reset problems. Both have been cured. After about 42 rounds today it seemed the reset problem was back. This was not a normal reset problem. Nothing...
  11. Caracal C and F Series
Got it from Centerfire systems for 399.99 shipped. I'm really impress with them, got my gun two days after making payment. I was a little concern about the slide movement during trigger break on a sample at gun show; however, my Caracal C and a buddy Caracal F from Centerfire are rock solid, no...
  12. Anything Else
Hi all: What is the closest equivalent match of Glock to the Steyr C9-A1? I have tried reading specs and I think I am bug eyed from it. So, I will bow to those in the know, what is your opinion of which number Glock matches closest? Thanks for ringing in, Dax:willynilly:

I spoke with Julio "THE MAD STIPPLER" a couple of months ago about the fram of my C9-A1 , I've sent him a PM and an email he has on his profile but no response. Does anyone know if his profile email is still good or if he is still stippling? Any help would be appreciated . It will get pricey...

as i had posted, i had not cleaned my Steyr M9 for several years and wanted to see how long it would go before it would bonk. This past weekend i took a class that ran some 1300 rounds. The pistol ran great though i did put a little oil on the slide sat night. Anyway i decided since i had the...
  16. Holsters
I don't currently CC, but when I go to the range, it'd be really handy to have some sort of holster for whatever handgun I happen to be shooting at the time, whether on my hip or leg. At the moment, my Steyr M9 is my largest handgun, with the others being a Beretta PX4 9mm subcompact and a...

Forgive me if this has been posted before. From Vol 66, Issue 14, pg. 32 of Shotgun News, under the article "Pistols of the 2012 IWA Show": "Steyr is Back. The Steyr Model M has been revamped and the result is a slightly larger pistol. It is called the Steyr Model L-A1 Full Size Service...

Shot about 250 rounds down range today to break in the new sa1 40 and it was great everyone loved it and wanted to shoot it. Had about 5 fte's but we took it apart and put some frog lube on it (my m pro lube had dried up or there wasn't enough) but after that no problems it ran great!! The dark...

I know that the 40 barrel and the 357 sig barrels can be changed with ease, but the 9 cannot be changed out by either. My question is, is the 9 frame modular and if I get the 40 barrel and slide can the 9 receiver accept them and function properly?

So my better half is getting serious about personal defense - she works late in a somewhat sketchy part of Houston. Even though she shoots the Steyr 40 like a pro, she wanted something that wouldn't make her rack a slide for a reload. Whatta ya know, there just happened to be a Smith & Wesson...
