As the title states, I put about 300 rounds through the new gen M9A1 and the casings eject directly to the face. This doesn't happen every shot but maybe 3 out of 10 and certainly is ammo related. Was curious if any of the owners of the new gen m9a1 has had this issue? Thanks.

As I mentioned elsewhere, because I've moved away from the .40 caliber, I am hoping to trade my M40s for M9s once the classified section is working again. In the meantime, I've sold off a couple of other guns, and so I decided to modernize the Steyr collection: Yesterday I picked up an M9-A1...

Hey there, I am new to handguns in general, and just purchased a Steyr M40-A1. I love the way this gun feels and shoots, but noticed primer swipes that have me a little concerned. From researching it seems others have primer swipe marks with this gun as well, but when the swipe extends all the...

Does anyone know what accessories for a Glock can fit nicely on the Steyr M series?

Hi folks, brand new to the club but I've been trying to track down a M9-A1 for a little while now and have a question. The pistol I'm considering appears to be a Gen2? M9-A1 model with date stamp: P0Y, I believe if I've read that right it would be an August 2007 production date. Here's a pic...

I was "lucky" enough to score 2 boxes of 50rds each (100rds total) of Winchester SXZ 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ Flat Nose "Training". Has anyone else had experience with this ammo? My M9-A1 ran great and all but as I was disassembling it to clean it tonite, I noticed it was extremely dirty after...

I have an M40-A, it is heavily scaring the brass, anyone know why? Is this a problem? Or normal? Never seen it before. Help please!!

Got a couple of hundred rounds downrange w/ a new c9a1. Seems like a well made gun. Unfortunately I've had a small problem w/ light firing pin strikes. I'm hoping this might be a break in issue as I had 5-6 light strikes the first 100 rounds or so but only one today. I'm using reloads w/ S+b...

Greetings everyone. This is my first post here. Yesterday I took delivery of a brand new PW Arms M9-A1 from Cabelas. Today, I took it out for a test ride and had an odd experience. I'm going to chalk this up to issues with the ammo, but maybe someone here has seen this before. I fired ten...

Well, it was a gorgeous day and I had a little time to shoot so I put 100nds through my new S9A1. I had some WWB ammo from Wal-Mart to try. I had alot of FTE and alot of spent cases bouncing off my head.:willynilly: I pretty much was expecting it from the posts here. My plan is to keep it clean...

Hi guys. I am on the verge here of picking up an M9-A1. Here is/are my issue(s); I find the trap sights on this weapon to be unique and exceptional, however I have 2 worries. First, I put night-sights onto all of my pistols (and in some cases a laser as well) and I really feel this is quite an...

Hi! Coming across this forum is a gold mine! :) I have recently acquired a Steyr M9A1, date code Z0F (June 2004 i think). The previous owner shaved off the chamber indicator to get rid of the FTE's. Is this true at all? :) Thank you guys for accepting my registration!

Any plans for a .45? I love my Fullsize QS and want a .45

I have one of the PW Arms imported M9/-A1 hybrid pistols. I put 100 rounds of Blazer aluminum thru it with zero malfunctions. However, it likes to throw the cases back toward my face. I was surprised that I didn't find it distracting but all the same is this an ejector issue or possibly due to...
  15. Other Rifles
This rifle continues to amaze me. For a light barreled sporter with a plastic stock it shoots nearly as consistently as my Remington PSS did. Not quite as tight but as consistent. A couple of days ago at the range shooting at 100 yards with a newly added Kahles 3-9x42 scope I fired 5 groups...

I am a new member of the club and this is my first thread (although I have been lurking for some time). I was wondering if I could get some feedback from those members that have bought the PW arms weapons from Cabellas or Dan’s ammo. Specifically, have they been reliable overall and what has...

next time you wonder what exactly is the difference between .223 rem and 5.56 nato the answer is 12,000 psi. .223 rem is rated at about 50,000 psi and 5.56 nato is rated at about 62,000 psi. i think there also might be some very slight chamber dimentional differences.i very much like the...

Just thought I would let anyone looking for quality training or dummy rounds for dryfire drills or teaching gun safety etc. I've used S.T. ACTION PRO INC. dummy rounds for all my classes to do dryfire ,misfire ,ftf and functioning drills . They're metallic cased(no primer) w/ a plastic...

Anyone here ever see or know of a Model M Professional in 7.5x55 Swiss? I see in the Blue Book where some were made but I have never seen one. The Swiss is such a great round even in the relatively weak straight pull action, I think it would be very good in a strong bolt gun. The case holds...
