  2. Holsters
I posted recently about my very positive experience with a Comp-Tac C-T.A.C. Kydex IWB holster http://www.comp-tac.com and there seemed to be some interest. However, I bought my holster used and Comp-Tac currently doesn't list the Steyr as an option. I emailed them about it and got this response...
  3. M, C, L and S Series
Nice little gun show down in Tucson, AZ today. One vendor had 2 or 3 MA-1's, so I of course had to grab one. It's got that same M feel, that's for sure. The ergonomics are definitely there, and although it *looks* a little more "blocky" and that it might not be quite as comfortable, nothing...
  4. Tactics and Training
I'm trying to put together some drills to help structure my training time to make it effective -- particularly my range time. Here are a few of the drills I've laid out: Mozambique Target: Silhoutte or any two part (upper/lower) target Round Count: 15 (3 rds x 5) Drill: From the low ready or...

Thanks to all who replied. Sorry for the little info about the misfire. I'm not a newcomer to the world of semiautos. I'm qualified as an expert in the US Coast Guard with the Berreta P85 and the M-16A2. I must admit though I'm not too familiar with the Steyr. Anyway I've done my fair time of...
  8. Ammunition and Reloading
RyanM over at THF (thehighroad.org) posted some very interesting scatterplots of the relationship between "energy" and "wounding ability" across various pistol calibers. This thread was created in response to a thread asking, " Why not CCW a powerful handgun?". I posted my own interpretation and...
  9. Ammunition and Reloading
We want to build a comprehensive list of what ammo works well with the M and S series pistols. Please give us your experiences with differing types of ammunition in these guns. They can be either target or personal protection rounds. We will build a nice reference table based upon the...

i was browsing the steyr website and read this under the M&S series handgun area... "The pistols of the Steyr M-Series are are deliverable until 31st of December 2003. From 1st of January 2004 the Steyr Pistols M-Series will be replaced by the new Steyr Pistols M-A1 Series. The Pistols of the...
  11. The Pub
OK, We now have our own web site, thanks to the efforts of some very dedicated people. Is it time to think about our next step in the cult of the Steyr and start planninh a Steyr only match. It could be similar to the GSSF matches. What are your thoughts? Where would it be? What kind of...

  13. M, C, L and S Series
So...I'm a little late to jump on the Steyr bandwagon. Got my CDNN catalog a month or so ago and thought, "hmmm...this might be my last chance to get a new Steyr easily!" Then I put the catalog aside and didn't get back to it until yesterday. So...Does anybody know if CDNN still has M9s...
  14. M, C, L and S Series
