  1. M, C, L and S Series
As the title states, I put about 300 rounds through the new gen M9A1 and the casings eject directly to the face. This doesn't happen every shot but maybe 3 out of 10 and certainly is ammo related. Was curious if any of the owners of the new gen m9a1 has had this issue? Thanks.

For the most part the brass skims just over the top of my head, but sometimes... it doesn`t. The picture above is from my L9A1 ejecting spent brass directly back at my face; this particular little bugger landed directly between my temple and the arm of my eyepro and happily sat there until I...

I have a quick question.. I recently bought a 2011 M9-A1 to replace my M40-A1 (not a fan of the recoil of the m40-a1). When I was cleaning it for the first time (I always clean and oil a gun before I shoot it for the first time) I noticed that when I took out the extractor and the extractor...

Greetings from smokey Colorado. After trying out a friends Steyr, I found and purchased a used M9-A1 at the gun show this past January as my first ever handgun. I love the gun, but I have had numerous extraction failures. It seemed to be mostly linked to the remanufactured bulk ammo I had...

It has been a while since I last posted and thought I would share my fantastic experience with my new M9-A1. I sold my old M9 to a friend of mine and used the money to finally get the new M9-A1 in March. I purchased it from Trellix Tactical and must say it was a pleasure doing business with...

New M9 owner here checking in. I got my Frankensteyr in a trade. Wasn't what I was looking for, but I'm happy the opportunity arose. Looking forward to some range time to see how much I like the sights. I'm an M&P owner, so the grip and mag catch are taking some getting used to, but nothing a...

Hello, this is my first post. The other day I was able to do a bit of horse trading and walked away with a Steyr M40A1 with three mags and a box of hollowpoints. I've only got serious time behind Glock 9mms (my first pistols, and what I carry currently), but I knew of Steyrs, had heard good...

Been a while since I have been back here. Anyway just a heads up guys, I was able to purchase a March 2013 (make date) M40-A1 from Trellix Tactical, Plano Texas, I think they still have 8 in stock for those of our brother's interested. They have it in auction in GB at a buy now price of 509. I...
  10. M, C, L and S Series
Hi folks, brand new to the club but I've been trying to track down a M9-A1 for a little while now and have a question. The pistol I'm considering appears to be a Gen2? M9-A1 model with date stamp: P0Y, I believe if I've read that right it would be an August 2007 production date. Here's a pic...
  11. Anything Else
Hey all, happy Easter and hope you're having a good one. I had some down-time between; church, eating, hanging out etc. Soooo I decided to swap on a Blackhawk stock/forend set on my Remy 870 clone (H&R or New England Firearms- Partner pump 12g) It makes SUCH a drastic difference to handling...

I want to ask the Mrs. for a birthday/anniversary gift... a new CZ firearm. I love the Steyr and would love to add a CZ to the Arsenal... But I am torn between the P07 duty or the P01. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
  14. M, C, L and S Series
Title says it all, that's my question. I'm looking for a Steyr to conceal-carry and for some reason have always been researching the M series, but it's my understanding the S or C (is it?) are basically the same gun just smaller. Do any of you carry the M9? Should I go w/ a smaller version...
  15. M, C, L and S Series
Hi guys new here and looking at my first Steyr. I've had a fullsize 1911 for a while and recently acquired my CHL. I've been carrying my 1911 and I actually conceal it quite well for it's size, but ultimately started to think about what ifs and started to feel like something with a little more...

I have a M40-A1, I've put maybe a couple hundred rounds through it. I've only ever done the basic field strip as shown in the owner's manual. Right now I'm deployed to Afghanistan and they wouldn't let me take any of my own, nice guns. I have to make do with a beat up M16. But, when I get...
  17. Ask Bubits
Mr. Bubits Can you give me some information about this gun? Here is a brief description...On the slide, it says Austria, a serial number, GOK Steyr Mannlicher..on the other side is says Steyr S9 9x19. Just some informative information would be very helpful. Also, what is a good round to shoot...
  18. M, C, L and S Series
Got a couple of hundred rounds downrange w/ a new c9a1. Seems like a well made gun. Unfortunately I've had a small problem w/ light firing pin strikes. I'm hoping this might be a break in issue as I had 5-6 light strikes the first 100 rounds or so but only one today. I'm using reloads w/ S+b...
  19. M, C, L and S Series
I think an S45A1 or M45A1 might be next on my list if they came out with 1. I really don't know if it could beat my S40A1 but I would give it a shot, I always wanted a 45 and on a Steyr platform I could see that being a top shooter
