Default Another new guy that just found out you existed.

    Howdy folks,

I had no idea there was a dedicated Steyr forum... but then again, never really thought to look for one until today.

I've had a few Steyr firearms over the years, and have an interest in acquiring a new pistol. Not really a poly-handgun guy, but the Steyr M9-A1 feels sooooo damn good in the hand that I may have to revise my views.
I have cancer, and was forced to sell off much of my collection, including rare H&K P7M8 and P9S 45T. When I can "regroup" my life, the Steyr is at the top of my list. I feel that the Steyr M9-A1, although lighter, reminds me very much of the P7M8 in balance, low bore center and even grip angle and feel.

    Looking forward to participating.

    Cheers,
    C

Thanks much ETH. I see by the CZ75B-SA listed that your tastes run similar to mine.

If everything works out, I have about 4 months of chemo and 2 surgeries left... then I reward myself for staying alive by picking up a few new guns.

Thanks Talyn. I spent about 2 hours last night reviewing the Caracal forum threads. The Steyr will come first... then I need a new .22 match pistol... and then a Caracal is on the list.

No news on the .45 Caracal yet?

I wish there was a 45 in a steyr or caracal.

Just doesn't work out with their platform.
10mm hits like a boss though.

(ooops, forgot its 357sig 40 and 9mm, not 10mm.) Derpa derpa derp

    Who are you! :P

I really wanna try a pistol with 357sig.
Looks like it would be a good carbine round too.

You can't imagine how much thought I've put into a lit'l Ruger 1022 chambered for the 357 SIG cartridge!

I've been reloading everything from 95 gr JHP's to 158 gr JHP's with amazing results with a 4" bbl.

Hell, a 16" bbl would make all the difference inna lit'l 357 SIG Ranch Rifle! Short action, low recoil...great performance.

That lit'l bottlenecked round is awesome!

    Take care, Bro.

Wulf <-- would love ta try out a SMG platform chambered in 357 SIG!

I got a friend doing something similar for matches.
I'll have to call him for details, I dont remember what it was.

A carbine like the sub2k or even the highpoint 9mm carbine in the sig format would be amazing.
