Its about time, but they might need to get some other makers like Safariland.

I've been lurking this forum while shopping for my next gun. Here's some holster makers I've found for the M series that you could check out:

    http://www.highnoonholsters.com "Side Effect"
    http://www.comp-tac.com
    http://www.safariland.com model 6280 or 6285 (for the M40)

There's several others that make concealment holsters, but that's not what you're looking for as I understand it.

Already own the 6280 for the M. The MA1 does not fit well in it. The tension screw does not allow the new accessory rail to pass through the holster.

I modified my 6280 to fit the MA1, but it is a bit sloppy looking with a large hole in the side of the holster.

I checked out the new Uncle Mikes EVO3 doesn't have a list of weapons it is made for.

    Default duty

I take it that no one has found a suitable LEATHER duty holster for the M9-A1 pistol? How disappointing. Does anything from Safariland even come close?

Safariland makes the 6280 for the M.
If you remove the tension screw and heat it in the trigger guard area. It can be made to fit the MA1.

I'll get some pics up next week.

Here is a cross posted link to an Austrian Holster Mfg. that has leather duty holsters for Steyr pistols.

I was looking at C-TAC's site and found exactly what I was looking for in a holster, the Minotaur MTAC. Leather backing, kydex outside, and the 2 belt clips they are famous for. Unfortuantely:

We are not able to offer any of our holsters for the Steyr M A1 Pistols at this time. Development on that model is at least one year off.
I wish I could be more help.

    > Hi, do you have an estimate on when the Minotaur MTAC Holster will be available for the Steyr MA1 pistol?
Anyone know if it would be easily modifiable for the M-A1?

I know what you mean - had to qualify with my XD45 due to lack of any type of duty rigs for Steyr.
